The department has departmental library with more than 170 volumes of text / reference books. Advanced teaching aids like LCD projectors, Over Head Projectors and Interactive board (Touch screen) are used in the teaching-learning process apart from conventional methods.
The department organizes ‘SAMETS’ – a state level Technical symposium for students every year. It also organizes seminars, workshops, National level conferences, Winter and Summer schools apart from guest lectures on emerging technologies, personality development and ethics. Students are encouraged to participate in Technical paper presentations in other institutions so that they improve their knowledge and organizing skills. |
Mechanical Engineering Association (MEA) is a student’s body of Mechanical Engineering branch under the department of Mechanical Engineering. It organizes programs which will improve soft skills like communication skills, presentation skills, organizing skills and interpersonal skills of the students so that they become more competitive in the job market. Activities of MEA include Seminars, Aptitude tests, Paper contests, Guest lectures and Career guidance etc. It is administered by executive body consisting of students under the guidance of Department Head and a faculty advisor from the department.
